Summit County Small Biz Roundup: Local Favorites That Make a Difference
Latte at Dillon Coffee Lab
Small businesses make Summit County feel personal, unique, and full of life. That fact is a big part of why I've built my own business around supporting them. Helping entrepreneurs and family-run shops turn their dreams into thriving realities isn't just rewarding but essential to keeping our local spirit strong.
I'm not sure about you, but our community wouldn't be the same without them. That's why I want to highlight a few of my favorites right here in Summit County. Some of these businesses I support professionally, but all of them are a part of my life here in Summit County:
Dillon Coffee Lab
This new spot in downtown Dillon is already one of my go-to for phenomenal coffee and cozy vibes. Dillon Coffee Lab was founded by two passionate baristas, Andrii and Jonathan, and it has quickly become a community favorite for espresso, lattes, and intentionally crafted coffee. Bonus: My friend Kia did their branding!
EVO3 Workspace
If you need a break from your kitchen table or home office, you should visit EVO3 in Frisco, which has been a game changer for remote workers and entrepreneurs for over a decade. Owned by Aaron (another great person to know), EVO3 offers coworking spaces, private offices, and meeting rooms for those seeking to be productive in a community-focused environment.
It's also the perfect neutral spot for client meetings, brainstorming sessions, or just getting things done in peace. As someone who has spent a lot of time working from home, I always recommend EVO3 as a way to reduce that "working alone all day" feeling that can creep in.
The Eclipse Theater
The Eclipse Theater in Breck is the place to be if you're looking for a unique night out. Operated by Breck Film, this local nonprofit theater offers a mix of indie films, documentaries, classics, and new releases.
It's one of my favorite places for a low-key date night with my husband or a solo unwind. Plus, supporting the arts is always a good move for your mental health and creativity!
Beloved Boutique & Folcland
Shopping can be a form of self-care, especially when you're supporting passionate, women-owned businesses. Beloved Boutique and Folcland, both in Breckenridge, are my favorite places to shop for clothing, accessories, and ethically made goods.
Not only do these two businesses offer beautiful selections and strong values, but they're also collaborating to bring more attention to small business shopping in Breck with their Shop Breck Campaign. I love seeing women entrepreneurs collaborating in this way. Their efforts are making a real impact!
Summit Sol Wellness
Summit Sol in Dillon is all about connection, whether it be to yourself, your body, or your community. This studio offers yoga, breathwork, and movement classes with fantastic instructors and a calming mountain view that makes you want to breathe a little deeper.
Owner Aly Lewis is doing incredible things here, including offering discounted classes for locals during certain times of the year. It's such a gift to have an accessible wellness space that helps you reset, recenter, and feel supported.
Dillon Ridge Liquors & Locals Liquors
If you're going to pick up a bottle of wine or whiskey, make it a meaningful choice. Both Dillon Ridge Liquors and Locals Liquors in Silverthorne make it easy to support local breweries and distilleries from across Colorado.
However, these two shops aren't just local favorites—they're also deeply involved in the community, supporting local nonprofits and challenging the dominance of big-box stores. By shopping here, you're investing in the businesses that care about Summit County.
The Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace
The Art Spot in Silverthorne is a gem for anyone wanting to try something new or get crafty. They offer classes, workshops, and open studio hours for adults and kids, whether you're a pro or just starting to explore your artistic side.
I love what they're doing to make art more accessible in our community. It's a place to disconnect from screens and reconnect with your imagination. After all, creativity is an underrated form of therapy!
Passion Fur Paws
This one's super special to me because it's the only vet that can actually deal with my dog, Toby! The team at Passion Fur Paws in Frisco truly cares about your pets and takes the time to make them feel safe and understood.
They're not just pet professionals; they're animal lovers who provide compassionate care that gives you peace of mind, too. If you're a fellow pet parent, you know exactly what I mean!
Nonprofit Spotlight: TEDxBreckenridge
I'm beyond excited to share that I'm now the Co-Executive Director of TEDxBreckenridge! This nonprofit is dedicated to amplifying ideas and sparking community conversations, and we have some exciting events in the works for our upcoming schedule.
Being part of TEDx over the years has been incredibly fulfilling, and I look forward to sharing more about what we're planning. Keep an eye out for updates, and join us. I promise you'll leave inspired and energized every time!
More Local Nonprofits Doing Important Work:
Whether it's through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, these local nonprofit organizations are worth supporting:
TreeTop Child Advocacy Center provides vital support for children impacted by abuse. Their work is so important, and they deserve our continued support.
Western Resource Advocates protects the land, air, and water we all rely on in the West. Their advocacy work is crucial for a sustainable future.
More Summit Favorites I Love:
Beauty Rehab Medical Spa: From facials to skin treatments, they're all about helping you feel confident and refreshed.
Axis Sports Medicine: This award-winning clinic is the go-to for injury recovery, physical therapy, and keeping your body in alignment.
Supporting local small businesses doesn't just feel good, but it is good. All of the ones I shared above contribute to our mental health and sense of connection. They're places where you can find your people, indulge in self-care, get inspired, and feel like you're part of something bigger. And they deserve our love and support throughout the year.
So next time you grab a coffee, schedule a meeting, shop for a gift, or take your pup to the vet, consider supporting local. Your support makes a difference, not just for these businesses, but for your sense of place and purpose!
